“The point of finding or creating data flow and storage diagrams is to identify the systems that contain information, and how the information moves between systems. If we are to develop plans for recovering vital and critical business processes, we have to know which systems support those processes and how they are interconnected. Without this knowledge, we cannot develop DR plans that will result in recovered systems that can support those processes – and if those processes are not supported, they will remain idle, putting business survival at risk.”
