A chronology of data breaches

Yesterday I came across a website that lists many data security breaches that have occurred since the watershed ChoicePoint breach in 2005.

I cannot vouch for the accuracy of the data in this site, but a quick scan revives my memory of some of the larger breaches. So at the very least, this site illustrates the fact that many data breaches occur, and millions of individuals have been impacted by these breaches.
